Thom and Coley did it again! Lone Star Luau, held in Marble Falls, TX , 40 miles northwest of Austin…smack dab in the heart of Texas Hill Country…was another great success! No, it wasn’t a fluke, lol…y’all know what it takes to carve out exactly what you want to create, and y’all know how to throw a mean party! Between a great new venue overlooking Lake Marble Falls (that checked off all their needs on their list), a SCENIC new OUTDOOR venue for the Sunday afternoon show (relaxing under the umbrella of a spectacular old oak tree…on a GORGEOUS, sunny afternoon…WITH a panoramic view of Lake LBJ…all while enjoying even MORE music), AND another STELLAR line-up of talented musicians…from those we know well to those we know a little to some completely new to most of our ears…they gathered a multitude of different styles to satisfy all of our musical taste buds and turn us all into instant fans! And, of course, music-lovin’ fans and friends from all across the country to gather, share, and enjoy it all togetherl!  I’m so glad we added on a few extra days again to enjoy Austin and some beautiful and interesting places in the Texas Hill Country. Thank you and your ‘crew’ again for all of your hard work, for your brainstorming ideas and problem solving issues to ensure another fun, enjoyable, music-filled 4-day festival in the great state of Texas…and for putting your own style and stamp on it! Can’t wait for LSL3 and to see what sneaky surprises you have up your sleeves! – Debbie Hess

“Thom Shepherd and Coley McCabe’s first Lone Star Luau music event was a smashing success. As I would scan the crowd during each of the shows it seemed everyone was having the time of their lives. It was not uncommon for artists to join each other on stage as it seems each set included some sort of “all-star jam”. It’s a rare combination to have such an event that results in the artists being just as happy as the audience. The entire weekend seemed like a family reunion in which you shared great times with distant cousins you haven’t seen in a while as you also bond with cousins you may have never met until then.” – Eric Babin, Phlockers Magazine, Mar 2017
